This program doesn't seem to do anything. I've tried everything obvious to get it to download a stream, but I can't get it to do anything. The "Help" is completely vague and doesn't tell you how to do anything. Awful. Waste of my time.

Alright, I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but this program needs a manual. I was at a loss for quite a while, opening various tabs, etc. trying to get it to work. nope. Then, on one reopen, it asked if I wanted to download stations for the tuner. After that it worked for those stations, but I cannot get it to make a bookmark for itunes radio stations.
It really records the songs, looks up their ids, and catalogs them.
Wouldn't it be great if this worked with the new AOL radio? Maybe I could access XM stations thru AOL and record them....
Efforts to communicate with the developer have so far not been successful after two days. The website "contact" page also comes up as an error.

Yeah, an update! Schedule didn't seem to work, though - Version: 1.6.9, 3/9/2005 06:12AM PST

iNet Stream Archiver is still the best software of its kind, even if a bit klunky. Great features! The tuner and manual recording work great, however for the first time tried using the scheduling, setting it up to record a stream daily starting at 12:00 am for 4 hours, but it didn't work. The list showing upcoming recordings appeared to be correct (showing the next recording being last night from 12:00 am to 4:00 am), however at 7:00 am this morning it had not recorded anything. I did leave iNet Stream Archiver running as noted in the documentation. Anyone have luck with the scheduler?
MPEG4 streaming? - Version: 1.6.8, 11/1/2004 08:42AM PST

I've used iNet SA for about 2 years, and it has worked reliably, more reliabbly than the streams themselves! It does look like development has stopped... Johann, where are you!
My favorite radio station has switched from .mpw streams to MPEG4 streams that use a .mov (Quicktime 6) format. Here is their URL:
http://live.wbur.org/feed/wburlive.mov
This will play in iTunes 4.6, and will make a bookmark in iNET SA, but it won't connect.
MPEG4 seems to have several advantages. Can you make ISA stram this format?
Thanks (p.s. seeing Johann is not attending this list, I will post at their help site too).
I already voted, but would offer 4.5 stars

Suggestions for history enhancements:
* Searching (e.g. for finding duplicates)
* Toggle track status
* Selective import/export, for sharing between systems
Bug:
* Tracks can randomly appear multiple times in the iTunes playlist
Unfortunately ISA development has all but stopped. If RadioLover eventually implements a few more of ISA's key features (e.g. history) it'll be tempting to switch and it's getting closer with every update.

So far, excellent

So far I like iNet Stream Archiver quite a bit and I already registered. It seems stable (again, so far) and has a great feature set. I particularly like the History window and the built-in tuner that expands greatly upon that of iTunes. Having said that, some of the UI is non-standard (the toolbar, for example) and the bookmarks/tuner window is a bit confusing. In particular I had to play around to figure out how to make a bookmark of an entry in the tuner. Make that stuff better and it will be 5 stars. I almost bought Audio Hijack Pro to do this kind of thing, but then discovered this and Radio Lover, both of which are much better suited to the task and produce better results (you get the original streamed files as individual files without re-compression and with tags.)
looks great, except…

that i can't stream the only station that I would want to stream. the stations that come w/ itunes load fine, but when i drag over the station that i want, all i get is the progress bar that just spins. i went thru the doc's to make sure that i set it up correctly. also tried to email the developers & can't seem to get thru. anyone else have this happen? thanks

this otherwise excellent program: Firstly, when the Tuner tab is selected in the Bookmark Browser I think the New Empty Bookmark button should change into a New Bookmark button (using the selected Radio Station). Using the Edit Bookmark... button for this function is totally unintuitive. Secondly, listening via iTunes is all very well but it would be much better if there was a listening function built into this product so you didn't have to have two apps running. By the way this app seems to function absolutely fine in 10.2.3 for me even after the core audio update (v1.6.1 of ISA)
The only downside is that is isn't always easy to figure out how things work so a good manual would be great for beginners!
