Product Description:

Journalert is a LiveJournal client for posting journal entries and being notified of new posts by friends.

Journalert has a few features that make it stand out, at least among Mac clients:

  • If left running, it will notify you whenever your Friends page is updated, by bouncing its icon in the Dock and then displaying an alert that shows the name of the friend who posted as well as the picture they used and the subject of the post. Pressing the OK button will then display the Friends page in your Web browser.
  • It supports styled text (WYSIWYG) editing, albeit in limited form. If the only formatting you use is bold, italic and links, you'll never need to type another HTML tag again. If you need to add more formatting, you can switch to HTML view and go crazy.
  • The HTML view includes some conveniences for automatically entering tags (including bold, italic and links.)
  • As a Cocoa app, it supports spell-checking and undo.

What's new in this version:

  • Version 1.0 is identical to 0.98 in all but version number.

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.2
  • Mac OS X 10.1

Additional Requirements:

  • Mac OS X 10.1 or higher

easy to use interface and seems to work effortlessly. The automatic music-detection for iTunes would be a great addition, but the program is great as-is!

does spell checking for journal entries. It would be great if it could determine what song I'm listening too so I don't have to type it.

I consider Phoenix to be better for Mac OS X, even though the people complain about bugs on Phoenix OS X it works perfect for me... This would be great if it had that music finder feature like Phoenix, other then that nice interface and very easy to use :D
