Product Description:

This software enables Sonnet processor upgrade cards' L2 and L3 caches under Mac OS X (if they are not already enabled by the Mac ROM). It also will correctly report the size of the caches and the processor speed to the Mac OS X kernel.

What's new in this version:

  • Add support for L3 cache sizing for PPC G4 and Encore/ZIF processor upgrade cards.
  • Correctly reports cache size for PPC G4 and Encore/ZIF processor upgrade cards.

No problems here. Speed now reported correctly and cache reported as well. Didn't notice a speed up of any kind, but the SOnnet processor (1.4 gHz) purrs on my G4 QuickSilver/1.25 GB Ram & Tiger 10.4.1.

If you don't need it --- don't install it.

AGP Sawtooth with Sonnet/ST 1 Ghz card, Panther. I wasn't sure if I needed it or not -- so I installed it with permission repairs before and after. Lost my ability to go online until I removed it and rebooted.
