Installed 10.4.2 update, then ran this version of SOX and it worked perfectly (as it always has for me.) Running SOX every couple of months has always given me a notable speed and smoothness bump.

I downloaded this package when I was having lots of issues on Panther. Even calculator was locking up. Could not install anything. Running through a single session of this really did the job. It fixed all the issues I had. Nowadays, I boot into single user mode run fsck and the periodics, then use Disk Utility to fix permissions. However, this utility doeas all that stuff and more in one shot. Great, super-reliable and does just what it says. I have read some other reviews, and I have NEVER had those kind of issues, and certainly nothing from this package. I think if something like this causes serious problems, you have worse things wrong with your system to begin with.

Have used Panther version since it first was introduced...no problems. Tried the Tiger version (4.7) and it crashed my computer. You know, the black screen of death! My computer was working great up until then. Until I get this worked out with the author, I would not use this application.
