Product Description:

I often need to run search and replace operations on stored data for both renaming and editing file content. I find it simpler to use different applications for the particular operations I need to perform and that's why I developed this set of Find & Replace applications. Using them is simple. Just drag files and/or folders to the application's icon to perform the indicated action. You may drag items to the target field if the application is already running. IMPORTANT: These applications are powerful enough to greatly damage your computer files. Please use them carefully.

Hey, I used Batch Text Replacer on Windows systems since years to replace source code within website projects. Now I was looking for a similar Mac tool and found Simple Find today. It's simple, it just works. Great stuff!

Simple Find & Replace ReviewThis is the one! - Version: 1.3, 3/14/2005 12:43PM PST

My file utilities folder contains at least 8 renaming apps that I have downloaded at one time or another. When I need to rename a bunch of files or folders (which isn't often), I rummage through the apps one by one, trying them out. I usually forget which one worked last time, and when I'm done, I forget to toss out the ones I didn't like.

Not any more. Today I tried Simple Find & Replace - Mac OS X, and I trashed the rest of the renaming apps. When I launched it, I was greeted by a simple window with simple instructions. Within seconds, the job was done. It's extremely intuitive, extremely easy to use, and extremely fast. It's also free.

Even if you've already paid money for another renaming app, you owe it to yourself to give Simple Find & Replace - Mac OS X a try. The time you save will be worth it.

Simple Find & Replace Developer NoteUsage Example - Version: 1.3, 3/2/2005 10:34AM PST

Here's an example of a good use for it. What if you just finished designing
a web site and found out that you forgot to use anti-spam email addresses in
your email links for someone whose email address is listed on dozens or
hundreds of pages on the site? With Simple Find & Replace in Text Files (one
of the applications included with Simple Find & Replace) you could quickly
replace the email address on every page in the hierarchy of the site without
opening an html editor.
