Update for iPhto 6?

Will there ever be an update for iPhoto 6? Even though there is iWeb now, I think the Better HTML Export templates are neat and slick and remain worth to be used in the future! Is there a way to use BHE 2.1 in iPhoto 6 after all?

I use them both for two different reasons. Gallery is fine for just collecting photos, and you do have some, after the upload, controls that you do not have with BHTML. ... On the other hand, if you have some html experience you can do some really cool things with BHTML. For example, here we have a class site that is exported directly from iPhoto via BHTML. ...
<http://www.classannual.com/focuson/kathyMildner/>
It could include all the info, but I was lazy and did not even identify the photos, but you get the idea. You can create specific templates for specific groups. Very COOL BHTML! ...
And with BHTML, you can create local website photo collections that can be burned to CD and still maintain the full use, without access to the net, and a server.

Galerie's iPhoto integration is not perfect, but good enough and it's much mre powerful. Word: customisable templates.

If you're HTML savvy, read the 4 and 5-star ratings below.
If you are new to HTML, and can't even figure out where and what happens when you install Better HTMLExport (no "Program" appears, nor is there anything in your Applications folder, nor is there any Manual), you might want to view what is happening here:
http://www.droolingcat.com/software/betterhtmlexport/docs/
What I think happens during install is that BHExport places itself inside of iPhoto. You can see it by going to the iPhoto's menu: File: Export. Once you're there, just follow along in the instruction link, above.
Hope that helps others who went "hunh?" for 30 minutes before finding the instruction link.

Just what I needed...

and much more with template support if I should desire to become even more advanced. The basic features are enough improvement over iPhotos standard export to suit my needs.
One extra thing I would like to do is .mac like slideshows.

seems to work in iPhoto 04 - Version: 2.0.10, 1/26/2004 07:05PM PST

I'm using this with iPhoto 4. The export works. I lost my registration info (could also be a result of upgrading to Panther) and I have an odd problem getting one particular photo exported. But I'm not sure what caused that.

According to the web site, it works. I will be able to test it on Monday when iLife 04 is delivered to my home.

Will BHE still work with iPhoto 4???? Can anyone please comment on that?

The only thing I really used .mac for was iPhoto galleries. This almost fills the void, which is a pretty good trick. Adding FTP upload (or partnering with a friendly FTP app like Panic's Transmit) would make it the UltimateHTMLExport. Ding one star for a bug, possibly due to Panther, which causes exports to fail with a "not enough disk space" error, even though I have a minimum 10 GB free on both my boot volume and the destination volume. The included templates don't show the true potential of this gem, and the template web site is a confusing mess of multiple versions and repeat listings. I managed to create my own template, which works beautifully, but that process could be easier as well. Definitely recommended. I've already paid up and hope to see this get even Better.
