I have not tried Finderella, but I did find a way to hide the dock, although I haven't checked for some programs' compatibility on Intel Macs. (I have a PowerBook G4.) I use two programs, Transparent Dock and Deskshade Plus (version 1). With Transparent Dock, you disable the "Float Dock Above Other Applications" option. And Deskshade Plus (again, I've only tried it with version 1) will put a mask over your desktop. I have discovered that when I do that, my dock does not appear no matter what size it's set to or where it is pinned. If I need access to the dock, I simply tell Deskshade plus to stop covering the desktop. I tried Desktop Curtain (a very fine program), but the dock still showed with that.

If you really wanted to, you could write a login script for those for whom you wish to remove the dock so that it would remove or make nonexecutable each time that person logged in and then when they log out make it executable again (and a safety precaution) make everyone else who wants the dock verify that the dock is executable or make it so upon login.

an easy way to stop people from accesssing the Dock. You can move the Dock out of the CoreServices folder and it will not automatically start up when the Finder loads.
