installs o.k. but does not apply custom settings - Version: 2.1.3, 12/7/2008 10:17AM PST

Installs o.k. here and software runs fine. However, I customised a template and saved it under a different name. Half my settings work, the other ones trigger the template's functions. The software tells me all my functions are the way I want them but it keeps executing the default button presses. Very annoying.
hardware works great, but this installer does nothing - Version: 2.1.3, 4/9/2008 11:02AM PST

this installer does nothing! i first uninstalled 2.1, restarted, then used this 2.13 updater, and restarted. it installed 2.1 again--no difference from before. on the packaging, there are screen shots of both the mac and pc interfaces, and on my mac g4 (OSX 10.4.11) the software is showing the pictured pc interface, not the mac! also, firefox is not supported, but safari is--what the??
the shuttle wheel & buttons work great, but they have a few kinks to work out with the software--

I run the installer, and when it gets to the point where it would normally install the software, it puts up an alert with the message "You cannot continue. There is nothing to install." This is on an iMac G4 800 with OS X 10.4.9.
Beware of this install

The geniuses replaced my Menu bar PLIST and I lost my clock, eject button as well as several other Apple menu items. All third party menu items are still there...

I've "installed" this update three times now . . . or not. First time got the "nothing to install" message as others have. I downloaded the updater directly from Contour and installed again. This time the process appeared to finish, including a restart without the nothing to install message, but get info on the app and VT Pro show the version still at 2.1. Repeated this process with the same result. I give up for now.
Won't install on Intel either - Version: 2.1.11, 11/4/2006 08:09AM PST

I have the v.2.1 software; when I attempt to install the 2.1.11 update I'm told "You Can't continue. There is nothing to install." I'm using a G5, is this update for Intel Macs only?

Digital Performer 5.0 Crashes with 2.1 driver - Version: 2.1, 5/4/2006 08:52PM PST
colinmansfield_dotmac
I installed this (2.1) version this morning. After restarting the computer and repairing permissions, I started up Digital Performer 5. DP crashed after trying to load the audio drivers (Digi Core Audio 7.1). I tried this several times, shutting down my Mac and restarting between tries. Uninstalling the Contour driver solved the problem.
no no *shakes his head

the hole this seems to work fine. same as always.
But what's the deal with this Menu Extra, i don't like this at all, y do i need this thing on screen all the time, using sys resources. my menu bar was pretty, with all my nice little True apple menu extras that i could move around and drag out if i didn't won't one.
i have no prob with the drivers of the fact that it has a useless menu. i just wont to be abel to remove it.
Does anyone know how to get this thing out of my menu without deactivating my shuttle pro?

interesting is that the service department cant contact the developer for any question about the driver, the developer did not answer any mail. and this goes on over many months…
as far as i see these product is EOL and the are not interested to give any suuport or bring out a new driver.
My Tip do not by this product look for a device with better support!
Ba the way we are using the contour shuttle devices over the last Years, and since the first lunch they do not add any new functtion to it - and all over all in the last 90Century this is a great device but for 2009 its not.
