Comment Synch ReviewComment Browser ony shows Startup Disk - Version: 1.4.1, 8/5/2005 07:19AM PST

Magnetic
Thanks for the nice (and long overdue) update. However, there doesn't appear to be any way to access anything other than the Startup Drive in the much improved Comment Browser.

The link above still downloads v 1.2, and there's no mention of v 1.4.1 on the website.....

Comment Synch ReviewComplicated interface! - Version: 1.2, 9/28/2003 07:25PM PST

Uncle Asad
Does what it claims to do, but the interface is convoluted and takes too many clicks to convert comments. Probably works better in recursive mode, but there's another app that works just as well for free, so I used that one instead. I don't convert comments often, so why put up with the hastles.

actually a Carbon app which will run under OS 9 also. It does an excellent job of synchronizing comments between the two operating systems. However, the browser for looking at the comments of files does not work very well under OS X (it actually works much better under OS 9).

has baffled me as to why the Comments mechanism was changed from the moment OS X came out. I use comments extensively, and with tens of thousands of files this is a really big deal. Shame on Apple for requiring us to use a 3rd-party application. Thank you Precious Gem for saving us! Any chance of releasing an OS 9 version?
