Downloaded the beta yesterday on my 24" iMac with 10.5.6. Nice to have back the audio feedback. Unfortunately I got tired of the finder crashes that increased in frequency. Turned Xounds off this morning. No more finder crashes.
Registered user of Xounds on my PPCs with Tiger so no funds were spent. Set up was a no brainer. My old prefs that appear to have been migrated over from my eMac with 10.4.11, were automatically used. Never had a problem with Xounds before, thus my rating deals with this version only.
This version needs a lot of improvement. Or someones helpful assistance. I still want to use Xounds. To each, his own. If I wanted a quiet Mac, I'd turn the volume down.

Andreas..
I yo-yo back and forth between Leopard and Tiger for certain reasons. In Leopard my Mac has felt dysfunctional for far too long. No longer. Hallelujah! Thanks, Unsanity, and don't listen to the voices of Unreason. ...and yes, a few $ is on its way.
