Dock Detox CommentaryEntourage still bounces - Version: 1.2, 6/1/2004 02:40AM PST

Using 10.3.4 and DD1.2, Entourage showed up in the apps list, but it still bounces on error messages (which are of course frequent and meaningless most of the time).

Golly, I hope they fix this or that someone else helps us with a patch or script or a couple of blasting caps. Why would anyone think those bounces are a good idea? Certainly no writer would.

PS... all I care about is Entourage.

Dock Detox Troubleshooting ReportI only wanted this for Entourage - Version: 1.2, 3/15/2004 12:17PM PST

v1.1 in Jaguar worked perfectly to make Entourage X shut up. v1.2 installs and appears to function properly for other apps, but Entourage never appears in the Enhanced Applications list, and continues to bounce. What gives?

Dock Detox Review*doink!* Entourage continues to bounce - Version: 1.2, 3/11/2004 11:51AM PST

You are correct. It doesn't work with Entourage when network errors occur. I REALLY hope this gets fixed. This is hands-down my favorite little haxie. I've been checking the unsanity site for weeks now waiting for the Panther version to cure my Entourage-enduced rage.

Dock Detox Troubleshooting ReportDoesn't work ? - Version: 1.2, 3/10/2004 06:42AM PST

I agree with mike, it seems it doesn't work with Entourage X.

I have two computers : a 500 Mhz TiBook and a 800 Mhz iMac G4. Both run on Panther X.3.2. And on both computers, Entourage keeps bouncing. It appears in the "Include list", but not in the "Enhanced applications" list. Of course, restarting the Macs didn't change anything...

By the way, the tip below isn't enough for me : I want Entourage to stop bouncing even when it gets connection errors due to ISP problems. ;-)

Dock Detox Usage TipEntourage fix... - Version: 1.2, 3/10/2004 03:07AM PST

Not sure about Dock Detox as I've never used it, but to stop the Entourage icon from bouncing just go to it's "General" preferences, "Notification" tab, and under "when new mail arrives:" uncheck the "Animate Icon" box . Additionly, you can create a subfolder "mailbox" and add a rule to animate the icon if mail arrives there and you want that "annoying" bouncing icon notification. Pretty easy

Dock Detox ReviewNot for Entourage - Version: 1.2, 3/9/2004 08:37AM PST

Very disappointed. I've waited for a Panther version of Dock Detox to once again stop that annoying Entourage icon from bouncing. This new version may work on other apps, but not the one I really want. I'm running 10.3.2 on an 800 MHz iMac with version 1.4.1 of APE. I sent a question directly to Unsanity on 4-8-04 with no response yet. I remain hopeful.

Dock Detox CommentaryFor Cocoa Apps Only - Version: 1.2, 3/8/2004 06:45PM PST

this version seems to work only for Cocoa apps only. adding ICQ client and Entourage in the Include List doesn't seem to work, they show up as folders instead of the app icons.... disappointing.
