Product Description:

iHam on iRye is a set of three applications used to control iTunes over a LAN or WAN network. With iHam on iRye, you can control nearly every aspect of iTunes running on one Macintosh from any other Macintosh on your network. It is mainly intended to be used in conjunction with an MP3 server type situation, where a Macintosh is dedicated to running iTunes. While this application can be used over the internet, it works best when used on a LAN network, or at least an internet connection with broadband. Dial up modems are not recommended (or supported). iHam on iRye iServer runs best under Mac OS X. Under classic, there seem to be some issues. For one, it crashes periodically when choosing a new song from the playlist. I am beginning to think this is an iTunes bug, but at this point, I am not exactly sure what is going on.

Great app, and I appreciate the time and efforts of the developer.

On slight bug; when running iHam, my iTunes will occasionally pause by itself. It always will start again when I click play again, but I'm not sure why it puases in the first place.

Overall, a great app though.

I have been looking for a little app like this, this is just great and packed with a really neat interface. CPU use on both side is low except when refreshing the song list where it becomes greedy.

Wishes: I didn't really get the need of separating server and admin, maybe merging them would make it simpler. I was thinking of another cool feature, propose a bluetooth phone remote control interface on the client side.
