Product Description:

Many international users have keyboards with the U.S. layout, and are accustomed to typing accented characters with the key sequences of the Windows "U.S. - International" keyboard layout. They often don't wish to get used to the Mac's option-key sequences for accented characters, and many mistakenly complain that "the Mac doesn't allow accented characters at all". This is a Mac version of the "U.S. - International" keyboard. It duplicates as closely as possible the Window key sequences, while keeping most of the option-key sequences intact. The same layout file also works for Classic Mac OS.

What's new in this version:

This layout is in the new XML format (previous versions used the legacy resource file format). It should be more compatible with Leopard (10.5) than the previous version. Major updates are:

Some Finder keyboard actions didn't work correctly; this has been fixed.
Some inconsistencies with "caps lock" have been fixed.
Now works with 64-bit applications.
Now works with Java applications.
Now works with the Terminal.
It's more compatible with some of Apple's "Pro" apps.
