Product Description:

more.groupware is a groupware that includes standard modules like calendar, news, contacts, webmail, and more. It's UI is multi-language ready, it has a robust framework for adding modules, and can run on several databases.

What's new in this version:

  • This release fixes a ton of bugs, and as usual we have updated the bundled libraries to current versions.
  • You can now install and log in when running PHP5. There are still some issues with webmail2, and probably other parts, but this should show that we will make this run under PHP5.

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.3
  • Mac OS X 10.2
  • Mac OS X 10.1
  • Mac OS X 10.0

Additional Requirements:

  • Apache
  • PHP and MySQL/PostgreSQL.

I've been using MGW for a few months and evaluating it against eGroupware, its only other competitor in my mind. MGW installs easily and is easy to administer. The install includes many modules that you can activate via one click.

Only more.groupware and eGroupware have all the needed features PLUS a kickin' eMail webclient. IMHO, MGW's eMail browser-based client is best of breed. Very "outlook like" and professional.

There are many, many groupware solutions out there. However, very few incorporate an integrated Webmail component.

The project manager is very easy to use and intuitive. There are two choices for calendaring, two TTS systems, internal messaging, RSS feeds, and more. The user/developer community is active and friendly.

it's a nice start, but very buggy. You cannot create a WebMail acct and calendar2 does not run at all. Nice to look at and fiddle around with, but of no real use right now, I'll try some snapshots now... if they are as bad as this version, then I'll try other stuff...
