Body Mass Index (BMI) ReviewWorks as billed - Version: 6.0, 4/21/2008 05:09AM PST

Works as billed. 2 comments. 1. The images with the corresponding weights seem off to me. Underweight is a sexy blond and overweight looks heavier then the obese and morbidly obese images. 2. I'd love to see this on the iPhone.

Body Mass Index (BMI) CommentaryNot accurate - Version: 5.7.1, 11/18/2006 09:08AM PST

The input to the calculator is simply weight and height. To be more accurate it would have to allow for input of body fat using calipers. As an example: my BMI is 13.3% as measured by a six point caliper method. The BMI application calculated my BMI to be 23%. The application is easy and fun to use.

Body Mass Index no longer (for quite some time now) take into account gender (sex) distinction.

But don't trust me on this, read this web page from the American Heart Association.

Please don't give me a bad star rating because the information you have is out of date.
