it's beta. MiniCalc is a nice replacement for the dated Mac OS X calculator. Its use of OS X's Services is awesome! (Too bad Carbon apps don't get free access to Services.) I did run into two glitches running 10.1.4 on a TiBook: 1.) The Edit:Clear command is dimmed when I try to clear an equation after finding its result. 2.) The result pane does not redraw correctly after hiding MiniCalc and then bringing back as the active application.

calculator window where you can enter some expression like "2+5/2" and get the result in a little drawer. This alone would be an advantage over the build in Calculator.app of OS X since it supports paranthesis "(2+5)/3" and functions like sinus and square rout. but the really great thing about this little app is that it provides a Service, so that you can select such an expression in any Service enabled app and it will append the result right there. I'm very pleased by it.
