It gets better...

...and better. For relatively simple jobs that require mixed English and Japanese, I recommend LWT to students and others. Unfortunately, the lack of footnote/endnote features limits its utility for doing academic writing. I hope these features are added soon! I know, this application started life as a text editor (and a very good one at that) which suggests that footnotes and endnotes should not be expected, but it has since evolved to being more of a word processor.
Nice

This is a very clean and efficient bit of programming. It works very well and the macro features remind me of the best of TexEdit (which is really good!).
It handles and saves documents with 2-byte characters (Korean, Japanese, etc.) without a problem (unlike mellel!) and the price is good.
I look forward to seeing what else happens with this software.

So fast...

Something has to be said for the fact that this is BLAZINGLY fast. It is the anti-Word... zero bloat. In an age of inefficient programming and high-level APIs, this is one program that truly keeps it real.
