Video Switching Problems - Version: 1.36, 3/9/2004 07:55PM PST
Gallomimia
I'm having these problems system wide, but it is still brutal for Oni X. (Far, far worse in fact.)
Here's the results of my little experiment:
[all resolutions are in 32 bit. who would play anything but?]
640x480 - Off center. Missing first 50 pixles of the left side of the game screen. Options screen and title screen are same.
800x600 - Black monitor. Sync rate out of range.
1024x768 - Black monitor. Sync rate out of range.
1280x1024 - Black monitor. Sync rate out of range.
Normally I only get this when a game switches to 1280x1024. That res is only supported by my monitor at 60Hz. It is my desktop size but no game seems to like swapping into it, unless held by the hand and told distinctly to use 60Hz.
Perhaps there could be some bugs fixed in this game. Perhaps some in Panther.
I used to be able to run the game just fine with Jaguar.

this version cuts all the windows with italian accents... not playable.
actualy I have to use system 9 to play oni in italian language.
the configuration menu is not working too

This however is the highest available in the controll panel screens.
When I hooked the screen directly to the computer the mac recognize the screen by its model, not generic VGA and the problem is solved.
