Product Description:

This is a very simple app taking almost no screen space. The goal is to keep it always running. It is a floating window that takes the space of about two finder icons. That is small and efficient. CPU and memory requirements are very low . Works in 9.1 and up (including native OS X ).

    • What's new in this version:

    • A lot of stuff. See the read me for an exhaustive list, but the main points are:
    • you can choose if simpleeuro is activated on mouse click or when the mouse simply moves over its window.
    • roundings and commas accepted both for input and preferences
    • updated the link to get the most current conversion rate for all currencies. EURO zone currencies are built in the program.
    • clicking on the close box in the floating window will quit simple euro since its the only active window
    • simple euro remembers where you put its window at launch and doesn't appear in the top left corner all the time.

    why people are complainning. It's the smallest, fastest, and most useful for europeans, and for others, rates only vary slightly day over day. 5 stars for me, other converters are just too clumsy. It's like using your computer to convert a currency, whereas this product allows you to do it as a side when you're browsing/reading/thinking

    but unless I am missing something it doesn't appear to provide a way to update exchange rates for those currencies that are not yet fixed. I live in the UK and don't really want to have to visit Yahoo.finance every time to check the current rate. By contrast, Euro Converter will dynamically update its exchange rates from the internet (either automatically or manually) and seems much more flexible. Nice try, but there's better apps out there that do more, and which are also free.

    what I want. It's not because people won't convert anymore into euros in a couple of months that there's no need for a converter!! I too hope people will learn to use euros exclusively but until then I hope they'll use SimpleEuro.
