MailPictures ReviewVery Handy - Version: 2.4, 8/3/2003 12:38PM PST

This is a great way to put a face to people I correspond with. Very easy to set up, and automatic in use. Best of all, emails that I send <i>aren't</i> unnecessarily long; if the recipient doesn't have this capability, then they'll never know the difference.
Two small problems: there seems to be some conflict with GPGMail, and MailPictures can't get images from servers that use a redirect URL due to limitations in Apple's code.

Versiontracker has been my home page for over two years.
It is very handy for keeping up on developments in the software world.
One of the nice things has been the ease of navigation.
I could click on a link and right away I could see user reviews and a rating.
Now there is an extra click between me and the reviews. Bummer.
Also the color of the rating stars is so light that it took me a week to notice them.
Go back to blue for arts sake! (Or rather for my eyes sake)
I noticed an ad for Microsoft Office X in the middle of the user reviews for one application. Tacky.
At least the site was not totally uglified like O'Grady's Powerpage was.
I am considering using MacOSXrumors as my home page.

put your picture in your .sig" folks: * MailPictures is integrated with Address Book * Putting images in a .sig is poor etiquette * Unlike .sig html, MailPictures is opt-in... Without the software, the header is ignored

point of this. mail can already send pic. if you don't want to add it to each email, then add it to your signature file. That doesn't require the other person to have this same software to see your picture. Do you honestly think anyone is going to follow a link and download this software just to see your picture? Worthless duplication of existing capability, only not as good.

in to the signatures panel and your image appears in all emails along with the rest of the details of your signature (if you want to include any)- you don't need any software and its really simple to do.
