Personal Trader CommentaryExcellent idea, but... - Version: 3.5 beta 5, 4/9/2008 09:41AM PST

An application like this is long overdue for would-be investors who have the misfortune to live outside the US.

The interface looks clean and simple, however, the performance on my Intel iMac is slow, with brief periods of unresponsiveness following each action...a bit like those early Java-based apps.

Unfortunately, whilst the developer has obviously gone to great lengths to include a wide range of international stocks, my personal predilection, namely ETFs traded on the LSE are not included, despite many regular investment trusts appearing, so the app as it stands is not too much use to me.

But I'll definitely be keeping an eye on it...great concept!

Why pay for an application that is only in beta?
Simply because there is a need for an application like Personal Trader of the one I seen Personal Trader is simply the one with greatest potential. Sure Personal Trader is far from finished but buying it I will support the developer to make a finished product, I would never pay for a beta but Personal Trader is the exception.

On quality/ Stability I put neutral - quality is excellent but stability is poor but then it's called beta for a reason.

To the developer, Keep up the good work!

To avoid misunderstandings I don't know the developer or in any way related to Coladia.
