Product Description:

XNap is a pure java napster client licensed under the GPL. It provides a GUI similar to the original Napster Windows client.
XNap was formerly known as JNapster (the logo survived) then forked as XNapster but is now actively maintained again and one of the most efficient opennap clients available.
XNap can automatically fetch a list of servers from napigator. It can connect to multiple servers and run multiple searches across different networks at once.

What's new in this version:

XNap is a P2P framework and client. This release adds a few cool new features like metainfo tooltips, dcc transfers and improved progress rendering with a separate segment column.

I use OS X Panther 10.3.4 on my PowerBook Titanium 500Mhz. I am a happy fan of XNap 2 for a long time. The first 3.0 releases did not work at all at my system. I decided to give this release a chance. After going through the setup procedure (I might have skipped it the first time - Mac users are used to click and run applications); installing, updating and starting the plug-inns (OpenNap & LimeWire) AND – IT WORKS!!! It even seems to have solved the problem of logging off at servers; in 2.5 the server thought I was still logged in after a restart (User with this name is already logged in...). The search 'Text' window is sometime not very responsive (slow). The program gave some error messages (wich I send back) but seems to be stable. It finds lots of files and I downloaded several without problems. Keep up the good work!
