iCDc Troubleshooting ReportIt wants an e-Mail address - Version: 5.0.2, 11/19/2006 06:20AM PST

No matter what I do, it wants an email address.

No matter what email address I enter, it still continues to ask for an email address.

If this is its way of nagging to pay, it should just say so.

Nowhere can I find any info on what this email address is supposed to be for. It's not in any of the Help text.

iCDc ReviewiCDC 5.x useage - Version: 5.0.1, 12/23/2005 07:43AM PST

Author is *extremely* responsive to bug reports and feature requests, making repairs/additions in a day or so (sometimes in a few hours). This APP results in a better and more useful CD database than anything you could ever create elsewhere (i.e. FileMaker Pro, etc.)

As a professional musician, I need my CD library completely catalogued and perfectly accurate. iCDC makes such far easier and more accessible than via iTunes.

This package has lots of potential, BUT . . .
It allows CDs to be sorted by genre - and then can only find 7 out of 225 of them! More accuracy and reliability required, methinks!

iCDc Troubleshooting ReportMissing Feature & Locked Up Dialog Box - Version: 4.3.3, 2/25/2005 11:08AM PST

A feature that is either missing, or just doesn't work, is a merge function -- The ability to grab any other .cidb file from somewhere else, and add it to yours. One would expect to be able to do this from "Import..." but it doesn't. This is very handy if you have several "users" and can't share the info across log-ins.
Also, in testing this, I found it locks-up consistently in a "can't find" the album information (gives an Okay button which is defaulted, but does nothing when clicked or "entered") whenever I give it several que'd albums to lookup. Kind of useless, since the only way to get rid of the dialog box is to quit, which throws away all the information. BTW, none of the albums presented were without information -- all presented the info when I put the discs in the drive, all over again (but had it do an immediate lookup).

Full Edit, merge, and duplication removal would make this a keeper for sure. Especially since I keep losing my CD Info files to system crashes.

iCDc Troubleshooting ReportImporting files causes crash? - Version: 4.3.3, 3/4/2004 08:00AM PST

Tolga
When I try to import files iCDc crashes. It happens within the import window when I click "browse" or soon after?

iCDc ReviewGreat app - Version: 4.3.3, 12/27/2003 06:57PM PST

Does exactly what it says it does, integration with iTunes is brilliant. Crashes occasionally when adding art, but otherwise excellent. Thanks -- just what I needed for keeping track of CDs (including who I've lent them to).

iCDc CommentaryLocks itself up - Version: 4.3.3, 12/1/2003 12:42PM PST

I'm looking for an audio cd cataloger like the absolutely great DVDProfiler for DVDs (btw: DVDProfiler is one reason for me to use VirtualPC at all). Came across iCDc, decided to give it a try and therefore opened my CD Info.cidb which containes about 110 entries. All entries showed up, but navigation through the cds locked this app. Reloaded, navigated... no lock. Entered a search phrase... total lock.

So, I can't review this app, it looks somehow usable, but locks up every now and then.
