Vicomsoft Internet Gateway X - 8.0

InterGate (Internet Gateway) user since version 3.x. I just got off the phone with Mark in tech support. A fine person, indeed. (Athough you have to jump through hoops on their web site in order to get tech support's phone number, which is in England.) Even though the web site says 8.0.3 is now compatible with Jaguar (Mac OS X 10.2), I noted several issues with Mark, who was unable to provide immediate solutions. They include: 1) Printer Sharing. When InterGate takes over the TCP/IP services on the server, the server's printing sharing is disabled, i.e, the USB printers shared on the server disappear from the list of printers available on the networked client machines. 2) Personal File Sharing. Same as Printer Sharing, however, the client can see the server, but login no longer works. 3) Timbuktu Pro 6.0.2: Clients on the network running Timbutku can see and control the server. However, the server cannot see any clients using Timbuktu. They instantly reappear when InterGate is shut down. 4) Cybernot: It will not download latest list. I don't know if using the username and password from Internet Gateway 7.x has anything to do with it. I tried running the updater separately and with InterGate turned off -- same problem. Mark says that he will look into these things and email me with any solutions.
