Product Description:

Truly Unique Seagull Video Player is the only Macintosh application available today for easily creating video playlists. That means that you can select a group of videos and Seagull Video Player will play them all, one after another. If you want, Seagull Video Player will even continuously play the videos in a loop.
Designed With You In Mind The response to the release of version 1.0 was outstanding. Users loved creating their own playlist of videos and playing them full screen on their computer. It is like creating your own personal television channel, that only plays what YOU want!
But, our users wanted more. The single most requested feauture for Seagull Video Player was multiple playlists... ...and with Seagull Video Player 2, you can now have a virtually unlimited number of playlists each with as many videos as you like! They can be moved up or down in the playlist or shuffled so that they play in random order. Videos can be easily moved from one playlist to another using drag and drop. Videos playlists are now easy to create and easy to manipulate!
More Informative Instead of just displaying the file name, Seagull Video Player 2.0 lists much more information about each video! The Playlists window displays the file name, file size, file path, duration, dimensions, creator code, file type, creation date, modification date, video name, video creation date, video format and video track count for each video. You can decide which information to show and which to hide using the Preferences window. You can even sort your playlists by video property in ascending or descending order. Suppose you want to play your shortest videos first, just click on the "Duration" column and your playlist will automatically be sorted from shortest video to longest video. Want to sort it the opposite way? Just click the column name again and the playlist will be sorted from longest video to shortest video.
Plays Full Screen In Full Screen Mode, Seagull Video Player plays your videos on the entire screen. The cursor and the menu bar are even hidden so there are no distractions. The videos are also automatically displayed at the largest size, without disturbing the aspect ratio. This way you will see the largest picture possible without it being distorted.
Flexible Full screen is great, but sometimes people want to watch their videos and still be able to use their computer to do work in other applications. Or, perhaps the videos you are watching are low quality and look better at a smaller size. So, we give you the choice, you can watch your videos on the entire screen in Full Screen Mode or you can watch them in a window in Window Mode. In Window Mode, videos can be viewed at 50%, 100%, or 200% of their original size or the maximum size for the screen.
A Problem Solver Due to the speed limitations of most Internet connections, videos often have to broken up into pieces to make it easier for users to download them. Anyone who has ever waited all night to download a video only to have the connection lost at the last minute and have to start all over again, knows the value of being able to download them in pieces. Now, there is no need to be interrupted when one segment ends and you have to open the next segment. Users will no longer have to be bewildered by complex video editors just to get their video reassembled. Just create a new playlist, add the video files you want to play, choose the order, and hit play. It couldn't be easier!

Seagull Video Player ReviewNice UI, but that's about it - Version: 3.0b3, 9/18/2005 10:26PM PST

I'm hoping to find a replacement for iVideo (never-ending playback problems), so I decided to check this out. I do like the user interface, but the price is ridiculous and, like iVideo, there are simply too many playback problems.

I just don't get it. QuickTime plays ALL of my video files effortlessly, regardless of format, yet the minute I import them into one of these so-called video organizers, the playback is lousy. Don't these programs use QuickTime??? What's the problem?

Seagull often refused to play my video files. Sometimes it would play them at normal size, but simply show me a big blank window if I tried to increase or decrease the on-screen size. More often than not, however, playing a video clip resulted in an empty window appearing.

Can't someone write a decent iPhoto for video clips??? I'd gladly pay for one that WORKS.

Seagull Video Player ReviewNot likely to get my money - Version: 2.5, 4/7/2005 01:47AM PST

The app gives the appearance that it imports formats it can't view, leaving you with a useless icon in the library

It struggled with .mpg files, which I consider to be fairly standard (if Quicktime can handle it with less trouble, you're app probably blows)

It's slow to respond, and sometimes completely unresponsive.

If there are problems beyond that, I don't know them, because I was so disgusted I stopped using it almost immediately

I'd say the developer is slightly delusional if he/she thinks they're going to get someone to pay $90 for this without some MAJOR revisions

Seagull Video Player ReviewNo need for… - Version: 2.3, 12/2/2002 09:42AM PST

Slash
these hasty comments. If you read the information carefully, you'll see that it only costs $89.95. Where you got this outrageously preposterous $90 price tag, I have no idea!
