Product Description:
Seagull Video Player is the popular application for easily creating video playlists. That means that you can select a group of videos and Seagull Video Player will play them all, one after another. Seagull Video Player can even continuously play the videos in a loop. Seagull Video Player supports multiple playlists and includes powerful sorting capabilities.
The Seagull Video Player Professional Edition gives video professionals all the features of the Standard Edition, plus the ability to output their playlists to a QuickTime Output Component such as a video card, monitor, digital video camera, etc. The Seagull Video Player Professional Site License costs $89.95 US and can be used for all Macintosh and Windows versions of Seagull Video Player Professional Edition at your site.

- View videos in playlists as thumbnails.
- View multiple playlists at once using separate windows.
- Scriptable via AppleScript.
- Automatically checks for updates when it is launched. This feature can be disabled.
- Video library similar to iTunes music library.
- Open a single video in it's own window.
- Video labeling. The user now has the ability to create custom labels. Each label has a name and a color. If a label is assigned to a video, the video's listing in the playlist is drawn in the label color.
- Improved bug reporting mechanism.
- Additional viewing options including: Comments, Kind, Label, Cast, Copyright, Director, Producer, Writer, Year, Genre, Year, Info, My Rating, Date Added, Last Played.
- Added the ability to have different view options for each playlist.
- Simplified file type filter system.
- The user can now disable cursor hiding and adjust the delay until the cursor is hidden.
- Export the library and playlists as TDF or plain text.
- New Volume Up, Volume Down, and Mute menu items in the Controls menu.
- New Move Up, Move Down, Move To, and Shuffle menu items in the Controls menu in a new Organize menu.
- Scripts menu.
- New Reveal menu item in the File menu.
- Fast Forward and Rewind.
- Now responds to command and arrow key combinations.
- Individually control the playback speed and volume of each video.
- Dock icon badges that inform the user when the application is playing or is paused.
- Move videos between the library and playlists using copy and paste.

The app gives the appearance that it imports formats it can't view, leaving you with a useless icon in the library
It struggled with .mpg files, which I consider to be fairly standard (if Quicktime can handle it with less trouble, you're app probably blows)
It's slow to respond, and sometimes completely unresponsive.
If there are problems beyond that, I don't know them, because I was so disgusted I stopped using it almost immediately
I'd say the developer is slightly delusional if he/she thinks they're going to get someone to pay $90 for this without some MAJOR revisions

these hasty comments. If you read the information carefully, you'll see that it only costs $89.95. Where you got this outrageously preposterous $90 price tag, I have no idea!
I just don't get it. QuickTime plays ALL of my video files effortlessly, regardless of format, yet the minute I import them into one of these so-called video organizers, the playback is lousy. Don't these programs use QuickTime??? What's the problem?
Seagull often refused to play my video files. Sometimes it would play them at normal size, but simply show me a big blank window if I tried to increase or decrease the on-screen size. More often than not, however, playing a video clip resulted in an empty window appearing.
Can't someone write a decent iPhoto for video clips??? I'd gladly pay for one that WORKS.
