I am running iTunes 7 on OSX 10.4.8 and this worked flawlessly! I got a newer computer and inadvertently copied my older over my newer iTunes folder during the migration process. I was mad as hell at myself, but had just updated my ipod mini yesterday prior to the madness. THANK YOU PODESTAL!Most of my music was from old CDs of mine which have since been lost or damaged. I have learned my lesson. If you need your ipd music to migrate to the computer, this is awesome. The great thing is that I don't have to rebuild the playlists!
Doesn't support AAC files! - Version: 0.1, 12/15/2004 07:24AM PST

The reason why you won't see all your songs with Podestal is because it doesn't recognize any AAC files (m4a or m4p). This utility was the greatest thing going for a while, but now I use iPod tracks to Desktop:

This is the closest thing you'll find to iPod copying abilities built right into iTunes.

iTunes says there are 724 songs on my iPod. This app only finds 496. Where did the rest go?
