SharePoints Troubleshooting ReportOS 10.5 and sharepoints - Version: 3.5.4, 1/19/2009 02:40PM PST

found this after posting on developer's site:

11/29/08: After more than a year of having Leopard out and seeing that Apple has built in the functionality of SharePoints into Leopard, there will not be a new version of SharePoints. A good article that talks about how to do most of what SharePoints could do in Leopard is available on Computerworld Australia's website.

SharePoints Troubleshooting Reportproblem in OS 10.5.6 - Version: 3.5.4, 1/19/2009 02:26PM PST

Sharepoints worked great for OS 10.4 as long as directions were followed exactly, but it keeps quitting with current Mac OS even when creating first sharepoint. This occurred on a PowerPC G5. Web site says that current version is compatible with OS10.4 but didn't mention current OS.

After updating Mac OS to 10.4.10 I had to back to 10.4.9.
The system kept hanging.
No more problems since I downgraded.

I needed to share a directory (with Windows sharing) on a second hard drive on my Mac. OS X doesn't let you do this. SharePoints solved the problem.

I experienced no problems. Slick software. Works through control panel, too.

I agree Apple should incorporate this into OS X.

Great app, I agree it should be bought by Apple and incorporated into the OS.

SharePoints Troubleshooting ReportCan't Delete and Create New Shareponts in 3.5.3 - Version: 3.5.3, 7/15/2005 02:14PM PST

I haven't been able to update any of my sharepoints under 10.4.2 on my TiBook or my G4 Mirror Drive Door machines. Tried to delete all shares and select a new folder I want to share for AFP. I've restarted File Sharing several times and each computer at least one. The old default share points still show up for each user on the system. A friend of mine pointed me to this utility so I didn't have to get in the terminal and mess around. Guess I'll go try to learn the command-line equivalents of what Sharepoints needs to do.

This is a great app. I've been using it for the last couple of years. However, I could get this latest version (3.5.3) working for 10.4.1.

Apple should buy this and wrap it into Tiger.

SharePoints Developer Note3.5.2 Compiler Optimization - Version: 3.5.2, 5/31/2005 07:56AM PST

It looks like I turned on one to many optimzation flags in the compiler. As a result, SharePoints 3.5.2 is crashing on launch on G3s (at least that is what have been able to gather so far). If you are having trouble with version 3.5.2 crashing please email me at hornware@hornware.com with your machine type and the crash reporter log.

SharePoints Review3.5.2 does not run for me - Version: 3.5.2, 5/30/2005 05:09PM PST

The new 3.5.2 Sharepoints application does not run for me. The crashlog says something about incompatable CPU type. I have a G3/400 running 10.4.1.

I will contact the publisher too.
