with DVD capture problems: it's unlikely that it's the encoding of the DVD. more likely it's the difference between software- and hardware-based DVD playback in your Mac. hardware-based DVD goes direct to screen in some Macs, bypassing the ability to capture the video output. i use Snapz Pro on my flat-panel G4 and have no trouble.

locks my system up solid every couple of days (and no other app I use... and I use lots of Adobe highend apps does that).... which is a real pain if I hadn't saved a Photoshop file, etc. So be VERY careful if you use SPX. As for me I'm going to try this out. (Just wanted to warn people about SPX).

to document my software, and won't use anything else. Every version gets better, and my suggestions for new features were promptly accepted. Thanks Ben!

the issue is that the extra pixels simply aren't there. In Mac OS X 10.2, Apple will add an option to zoom in on the screen. But the image *will* pixelate. I'm quite sure that Apple will add an option to specify a different resolution in time. Until then, you wait.
