You'll never need BBEdit again

If your QuickTime movies include text tracks, Textation should be in your toolbox. No more switching between QuickTime player and BBEdit... you can add text to your movie and preview the results immediately. This is exactly what i've been looking for.
Very cool -…

lets you add HTML tracks, and chapters...Saved me big-time from having to buy GoLive or LiveStage Pro just to do these simple things (I'm a DreamWeaver guy, but GoLive has some excellent QT tools...). A very good tool to keep in the basket! There are some small redraw bugs in the view window, and I wish I could keep the video at one size and add scroll to more links on my big screen, but maybe in the next version...
The most compelling feeature of this product is you are able to play the selected movie and click a button to create the time markers. Very easy and fast.
There are some screen re-draw issues when copying over the lyrics. Once you paste you may need to click on the line above and before to see that the paste worked. Of Course, you can use the menu system to paste also and that always works.
One nagging problem is once you add your text and export the movie, the result is choppy video. If you compare the original video to the newly created Karaoke video, the sound is perfect, the lyrics look wonderful, but the video is choppy and off-time just enough to be an aggravation. It cheapens the project.
The price is right for this software, but for high quality work, use Final Cut Express or something higher powered. Perhaps the vendor will issue an updater to address the choppy video. It seems the lower the quality of the video the less choppy the result is.
