What's new in this version:

This self-extracting file contains the EPSON Stylus Photo 1270 Printer Driver Disk version 1.1aS Driver version 1.0 for Macintosh OS X (version 10.0). This installer will place a folder on your desktop labeled "epson10105." Open the folder and the .dmg file inside. A disk image with the printer name will be created on your desktop. Open the disk image and the installer.pkg file inside to install the printer driver.

Whilst versiontracker is an excellent service, I feel it unfair of you to make comments about Epson's support without researching the facts!

Epson 1270 Driver v.1.1b is available (and has always been since early 2002) on the Epson website for download.

The driver issues all the flaws which you may have encountered.

The problem here seems NOT to be with Epson, but with Versiontracker's database.

Good company's try to have good reputations, and go to great lengths to correct their screw-ups. I've seen nothing from Epson that leads me to believe they or their products are good. System 10.2.6 printing is a nightmare. Thanks for nothing, Epson. You've cost me many times the price of my printer.

features as the OS 9 driver, but it has worked for me under OS X (!) ever since it was released (currently running 10.1.5). Has problems when Classic is running and has it's own driver installed (they both try to take control of the printer). The Epson site mentions this is compatible with 10.0 and 10.1 _only_, can anyone verify/falsify this (BLASTfemur seems to have no problems with 10.2...)? And people, don't rate a _driver_ for poor _hardware_ design! BTW, the only problem I have is dust gatherings causing large ink spots. Cleaning this printer is rather difficult.
