    IOXWebcamX CommentaryToo expensive! - Version: 1.1, 7/24/2008 07:01AM PST

Given the fact that you can buy decent UVC cameras for a little over $30 I find $20 for a driver much too expensive. Would buy for $5, though.

IOXWebcamX CommentaryLeopard compatible version - Version: 1.1, 1/1/2008 02:53PM PST

    Studio G
There's apparently a Leopard compatible version of this in the works, you can download a beta from their website but here's the bad news:

"This version is FREE for users who purchased version 1.1 after October 26, 2007 (Leopard release date) and for users who purchased the 1.2 beta version."

Which means if you bought it before October 26, you will have to re-purchase it (at full price as far as I can tell, unless there's mention of a discount hidden somewhere) JUST so you can use it for Leopard. So here's how it goes for me:

    Webcam - $70
    IOXperts Tiger driver: $20
    IOXperts Leopard driver: $20
    iChatUSBCam: $10

That's an extra $50 to keep a $70 webcam working. I don't advise throwing good money after bad -- time to get a USB Video Class cam and be done with this cr@p.

IOXWebcamX CommentaryNew serial # cannot be inserted, in Leopard no camera - Version: 1.1, 11/15/2007 12:03AM PST

    JohanD.1st
I upgraded to a new Mac Mini Intel and asked for a serial swap for my new computer. I got that reasonably soon. Then I tried to find an option to insert that new serial number. Did not work, the programme told me, I'm already registered. After a few days I got response after filing a new question on their website. They told me to use the uninstaller and then install again. So I did, but it still said I'm registered with my unique ID code, so no picture! I asked for a way to be able to insert the new serial. No response. Meanwhile I got Leopard and upgraded. Now my Logitech Quick Cam Zoom is not recognised at all! No response from IOXperts.... Still it worked fine for the time beeing on my old G4 Mini.
It might be time just to buy a "Vista"-supported camera, they seem to be recognised by OSX out-of-the-box, still it's a shame IOXperts is so lax in helping me out...
