Product Description:

Portraits & Prints is designed to be streamlined, easy-to-use, powerful, yet un-intimidating. Digital photographs can be quickly imported and arranged for output on high quality color printers. Special tools for modifying each photo's brightness, sharpness and saturation as well as intelligent red eye reduction provides easy control over image quality. Portraits & Prints gives you the ability to produce high quality results without any special digital imaging skill or knowledge.

What's new in this version:

  • More optimal build settings for better overall performance.
  • Added a contextual menu to the Red-Eye mode that allows the aperture size to be controlled via right-clicking (or CONTROL-clicking) the mouse.
  • The Red-Eye mode's most recent aperture size is now retained between program launches.
  • Fixed problems where several combinations of the Sharpen filter along with Saturation, Contrast and/or Brightness could introduce some pixel artifacts along the extreme edges of an enhanced photograph.
  • Fixed a problem where rotating photo images could potentially introduce a one pixel wide artifact along the edges of the transformed photograph.
  • Fixed a bug that was preventing an alias file referencing an image file from being added to a photo catalog.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented data-fork only AppleScript files from being executed.
  • Rebuilt the included AppleScripts so they execute on pre-Panther (Mac OS X 10.3) systems.

Would not enjoy my digital cameras as much, could not print multiple photos with such ease without this program. No question it is the best Mac add on I have on my computer. Thank you. I just graded up to the 2.2.1 version and have not used it yet, but have enough confidence it will be excellent also.

BUT, still think you should add a text box to you templates......

Portraits & Prints ReviewGreat Update - Version: 2.0, 11/18/2004 06:25PM PST

Because I had both P&P and Template Maker, I was eligible for a free upgrade.
I installed P&P and was looking to see how I could import my old templates, that I made; and lo and behold they were already included.
I suppose as iPhoto gets better this is less needed, but when it comes to printing out something just the way I want it, it's always back to P&P.
I've done things like a mini-scrapbook for my husband.
Also, I was able to save to CD, by moving all the photos I wanted on the CD, and then moving my P&P pages to the CD; making sure it found all the photos so it is all in one place.
