have printing in OS-X. I bought 8 of these 2500 boxes for our local school district and now I can't scan with them? I will make certain that Epson will _never_ get any business from our district ever again. To totally drop support on a unit like they did will just harbor customer resentment. I'm personally in the same boat as I purchased a SS2500 for myself. Another company with no goals in customer satisfaction. Thanks for the drivers, cblue

for alerting me of the official Epson SP1200 drivers. Weird there's no information on the US website (except for mentioning that they will be available in Q3) while they are available on the UK web site. Anyway they're finally here, so maybe all the petitioning did it's job. Epson don't really deserve a good rating for taking forever but they seem to work well enough...

a lot of trouble getting this driver to work (Add Printer would display my SS2500 under USB but wouldn't add it, complaining "unsupported printer"). I got it to work after: 1. removed all but the Epson folder in /library/printers/ 2. removed all the other printer .plugin files from the /library/printers/epson/ (C*, PM*, SC*, SP*) leaving the hacked SC740.plugin file 3, erased the spool folder (in console I did "sudo rm -r /var/spool/printing") 4. rebooted 5. tried to print, since there were no other printer drivers it automatically chose the hacked SC740 file (appears as Stylus Scan 2500), I didn't need to add printer, just appears in the print dialog.
