page http://software.theresistance.net/ says that it works up to and including Photoshop 5 but I've found that it works up to and including Photoshop 7. (I'd change that since I almost didn't download it for OS X since I use Photoshop 7 mainly.)

__I__ use it for. I can get a closeup look at virtually any image (Photoshop 7, etc.) without having to run PS7 in the background all of the time. It also gives me a look MUCH faster than PS 7 does. I've been using this for well over a year (in OS 9 and now OS X 10.1.4) and it's always worked well. I paid the $5 again (this time for OS X) even though it has free updates for life. Want to make sure you keep updating this.

with 8-bit alpha simply discarded the alpha channel. Unacceptable for an image conversion app. 1 star.
