Product Description:
Auction Monitor can notify you, both visibly and audibly, of new and changed bids on your eBay auctions, activity from bidders with negative feedback, bids placed by eBay users whom you have specified, and changes to your own feedback score. It can be set to update automatically at a specified interval and displays numerous statistics related to your auctions. Auction Monitor provides quick access to many eBay web pages frequently used by sellers such as bidding history and feedback information for bidders.
What's new in this version:
Auction Monitor 2.2 adds notifications for ended items, an option to save the auction list, and a number of minor fixes and improvements. Version 2.2 is a free update for all previously registered Auction Monitor 2 users.

It appears that eBay has undone the changes that disabled Auction Monitor and, for the time being at least, it seems to be working once again.

This is a terrific program, but due to changes
at ebay, it no longer works at all.
If you like this program, contact the developer
and ask him to rewrite, even if it costs an upgrade
fee.

Using Interarchy I verified that this app does not obey the system's HTTP proxy configuration.
When you choose Update, it tries to make repeated connections to 216.92.30.59, which is blackmagik.com.
Why is it connecting there and not ebay directly? Is it sending your personal details to blackmagik? Because of the proxy problem I couldn't tell you. There is nothing in the accompanying documentation to indicate what data is sent to blackmagic, and why.
Put simply, this app needs a) HTTP proxy support, and b) a privacy statement.
