I installed webalizer with the geolizer patch. Compiling the various libraries was quite tough, so be prepared to spend some time on this.
After several months, i still cannot get the ignoreSite to work, although in the authors defence he states he specifically does not want this function.
I have four different lines of "ignoreSite" (four different IP numbers). When I hex them, the program works, when I unhex them, it doesn't.
bottom line is I could not get the stats to work with myself and my co-workers excluded.

I had trouble getting webalizer to work on Linux, but it worked perfectly on my first try on Mac OS X Server (10.2.8). Awesome program - provides very detailed log reports.
Try it out with the "combined" log format (you have to set this up in the apache httpd.conf or httpd_macosxserver.conf file). Then it even gives you a break down by "user agent" (web browser).
Very nice... And ... did I mention - free? Way better than the other OS X specific programs I tried. It outputs into HTML format so you could even set it up to display the logs on your web site using cron to update them daily... or hourly, or whatever.
Very FAST!

Very FAST!
line 3: `if ($ENV{'USER'} ne 'root') {'
is all I get from the installer.
