As of this update 5.11.13, I cannot download the application. The links all point to a gpg signature. A .asc file which contains the pgp signature file. I can't seem to find the actual download anywhere.

PCGen fully supprts the RSRD (3.5), and even the mSRD (modern). Under the Settings menu across the top of the screen, there is a Game Mode/Campaign entry that allows you to change between these different settings.
Does This Program Support Revised 3e? - Version: 5.7.7, 10/12/2004 04:46PM PST

From what I can tell this program only supports 3e. It only lists the 3.0 SRD. Am I missing something, or is 3.5e support missing?

Thanks for making the Mac-installation apps for PCGen. Though it is a java program, it makes it feel more Mac-friendly.
Gets better with every release

If you haven't tried PCGen in a while, give it another shot. It's much faster now, and much more streamlined interface. An indispensible application if you play 3E D&D.
And soon, you'll be able to buy the data sets for all the WOTC books at http://www.codemonkeypublishing.com.
Kudos to Conor for constantly maintaining the OS X version!

speed issues that some users have brought up... ... I have two suggestions. First, if you have OS X 10.2, get the Java 1.4 update. Second, in the prefs, change teh GUI from "System" to "Java. The speed increases these two things will have are greatly noticable.

sped up by about 300%, I have to say it's almost completely unusable. CrystalBallMac is much faster and has a better interface -- although it's not as flexible. Still find CBM a far better solution for my needs. Two stars for functionality. There's lots of that for sure. I just can't get to it without going crazy waiting for screens to redraw.

which was co-founded by Bryan McRoberts (Merton Monk), Rob Reed (Mynex) and Jason Buchanan (Lone Jedi), have finalized an agreement with Wizards of the Coast. How this affects PCGen is that some previously removed functionality (random stat, hit point and starting age generation) will be returned. It also means that Code Monkey Publishing (CMP) can create data files for the Wizards of the Coast books - this data will be made available for a nominal fee at CMP's site. The details of this have not been ironed out, but will be shortly.

issues regarding intellectual property. More importantly, I think, I understand the moral issues involved in giving proper credit. That aside, I would like to make a suggestion, perhaps I'll get death threats over this I don't know, but what about offering to sell the splat books data files and paying royalties to the appropriate publisher (and make a little change on the side for yourselves and all the hard work of your data monkeys). It isn't that I'm interested in getting this information for free (heck if I wanted that I'd download it off the internet somewhere else and besides I already own the hardcover books) its just that the computer has a hard time reading hard copy :D Seriously though, if WoTC and the other publishers are concerned about intellectual property rights why not see what kinds of royalties they would ask for per copy in order for all the data files to include all the info in the splat book? (might not be that much, after all they have no overhead involved; its just free money to them)
