two things make it almost worthless: 1. It does not open existing sf2 files. 2. It does not support multiple samples for different velocity settings on one single key. If you can make these two things working, i might consider buing it.

I'm surprised to have just found this app. My sampler is Bitheadz Unity, and it comes with a very powerful editor, but it only saves instruments in the Unity format.
PolyPhontics allows me to quickly build instruments and save them in the more widely used SF2 format. This format can be imported to Unity and most other samplers, so if I move to another synth, say Mach5, I won't have to rebuilt all my banks.
