Maya ReviewAutoDesk's cheap Mac ports - Version: 2010, 10/15/2009 12:20AM PST

All Mac-versions of AutoDesk products are horrible. The screen artifacts and other graphcis glitches are a product embarrassment to say the least. Often times "something" is better than "nothing," well this isn't one of those times. This is terrible, same goes for AliasStudio, etc. For $2000 you'd think AutoDesk would deliver something other than this shoddy port.

Oh yeah, and check out the seemless cross-compatability, when I open a model I made in the OSX version of Maya 8, in the Windows version of Maya 8:

Bit of a difference?

Maya ReviewAutodesk disapointment. - Version: 7.0, 9/22/2006 06:45PM PST

Congratulations on your continuing failure of support on the mac platform.

Maya 8 is released, and we get neither 64-bit functionality nor Intel compatibility.

That's fantastic considering 99% of Mac Professionals who use Maya are equipt with either G5s or Mac Pros.

Both of which are 64-bit, and half of which are Intel.

Way to prove that you guys at Autodesk are still on the ball! After all that hard work refusing 3d Studio Max to us, I was almost afraid you'd lose face by supporting us with Maya or something!

Good job! Our Intel Macs will be 2+ years old before we can use Maya without constant freezing / 15 minute beachballs!

Oh oh! But the Windows / Linux versions are 64-bit! Sweet! ...
