The best part of MASTER CREATIVE SUITE is the removing tool

jd18It removes everything from CS3 and then we can reinstall without problem CS2 and ACROBAT Pro.
The only enoying thing is that it costs me 2500 USD to see an other time that ADOBE don't care at all about the quality of their software. Only our money is intering.
No announcement on the site about possibe improvement, no advise except contacting their Customer Support. Have you already tried? It is a very good way to feel totally stupid. They don't know anything about problems...
Another Microsoft is born !
Simply a nightmare

After hours of work, I have been convincted that my MacBookpro first generation was the cause of all troubles during the installation. I bought a brand new 17", same story.
I moved from Quark to Adobe a few years ago thinking that this company could be more respectful of their customers.
After buying more 3K USD upgrades I can say it is exactly the same.
The only interest is for our money, not for customer satifaction.
good grief

Just another reason to loathe Adobe. - Version: 13.0.1, 6/25/2007 08:01AM PST

vickita--2008It appears to be stalled out.
Imagine my surprise.
I haven't done *anything* to the installation of Illustrator. Indeed, I don't *really* use Illustrator; it's just a part of the CS3 Web Design package.
And there's nothing particularly non-standard about my Mac OS X installation, either.
This, following closely on the heels of the Living Hellâ„¢ of the CS3 installation after having had the CS3 Photoshop beta installed on my system (never. again.), just reminds me of how much I hate Adobe, and why. Ten years of using Adobe products and wanting to spork my own brains out every time I try to run an Adobe installer.
*sigh*

Typical Adobe problems - Version: 13.0.1, 6/23/2007 02:56AM PST

NickCollingridge"An error occurred during installation. The update cannot be applied to the product. Please re-install the product and try again."
Why does this happen, and why is there not any further information in the error dialog? Why does Adobe have to adopt such a user-unfriendly approach to these things?
I have not done anything to my Illustrator installation since installing it, except to install two scanners. Surely something like this should not be enough to stop the installation proceeding - although maybe that is it. There's no way of knowing.
If that is the case the Patcher will presumably only install into a TOTALLY VIRGIN installation. But we have no way of knowing for certain because there is no information provided.
Hopeless - totally hopeless.

clean install... will install - Version: 13.0.1, 6/22/2007 11:15AM PST
Run Home Slow
yes i trashed some languagesssss and UB filesssssss. Damn installer, just like Acrobat, remove a Kb and it won't update. so, this morning trash Ai and reinstall from DVD than update to 13.01 and it worked. got again 40 000 items that i don't want and like 5 more folder of Adobe that i don't use in my apps. Those things never happen with PSD but always happen with Acrobat and Ai. Why not putting all their things in one folder call Adobe CS3?

Hello,
a week ago I was working with Adobe Illustrator CS2, Adobe GoLive CS2 and Adobe Photoshop CS2 all day to continue my work on a design project.
At the end of the day I wanted to quit all applications. All applications quitted without problems except Adobe Illustrator CS2. I pressed command-q in Adobe Illustrator. The program seemed to quit, however, the MacOS X Finder (command-tab & Dock) indicated that Adobe Illustrator CS2 was still active.
So, I waited a couple of minutes. But for some reason, Adobe Illustrator CS2 did not quit.
I tried to restart my computer via the Finder, but my computer was no longer responding. Thus, I was forced to press the power button of my PowerMac G5 to evoke a restart.
And then ... well ... a big shock ... my computer was not able to find my boot drive. I only got a grey screen with the "no boot drive symbol". Thus, I have made another test by pressing the power button of my G5 once again. Same result, my PowerMac G5 was not able to find a boot drive.
Since it was already very late and I was just too tired to install a new and clean MacOS X version on my computer, I decided to shut down the computer entirely and leave it as it is until the next morning.
Surprisingly, my PowerMac G5 did find the boot drive once again after I turned on my machine the next day.
Has anyone out there made similar experiences?
