If you're looking for an illustration package, you definitely want to keep looking. Don't settle for Illustrator. It's massive bloatware. It's confusing to use, painfully unintuitive and just frustrating to use.

Whereas InDesign CS3 is awesome. It's works logically and very well. For some reason Adobe has seen fit to make these related applications work very differently and in painfully unobvious ways.

Every time I work in Illustrator I feel frustrated.

I'm not sure why Illustrator CS3 is ranked so poorly here... I've been using it without a problem. Yes, there were some headaches with the original installation, but it all seems to be working fine now.

After getting various errors the last couple of days when trying to update (internal error yesterday, a 'lack of internet access' warning early today), I tried this afternoon and it went without a hitch.
