Anyone know where you can find the demo? All links on the Net appear to be outdated.
lots of bugs (intel) - Version: 1.1.2, 3/1/2007 04:54PM PST
DerangedPEZ
I haven't played this for years, so i thought I'd give it a go.
Then... bugs bugs bugs
-cut scenes have a big black box in the middle of the screen
-loading a saved game crashes the app.
-changing settings (sound) resets the graphic setting
-has been updated to UB, but still doesn't have native support for wide screen resolutions (can be forced in the cfg file though)
Great job aspyr!

Holy Crap, I need to dust off my copy of Alice ASAP. I wonder what they'll do next? Undying? Call of Duty? Medal of Honor?

Won't pick up objects anymore - Version: 1.1.1, 12/31/2006 04:08AM PST

Hadn't played this game for a while, but when I recently tried running it on 10.4.8 Alice won't pick up objects (other than energy etc.) this makes it impossible to progress to further levels. Therefore making the game useless :(

Once of my hard disks was named ALICE.
When I unmounted it, my problem went away. If one of your hard disks is named Alice, try changing the name. The app is mistaking the hard disk as a CD.
Duh.

I don't have too many other suggestions. I actually did put in a support case @ Aspyr but no comments from them as of yet. I use a NVidia GeForce 3, but I wouldn't guess that it's related to the video card. It's probably just a bug in determining where the CD drive is or something.
You *might* try repairing permissions (Disk Utility) but really, I don't know...

Since updating all the sound fx and music are distorted, as if it was using VM or something ; / I get the same error in X and 9 : (
Think I'll be re-installing

Thanks for the feedback Motoko. My drive is partitioned so I tried your suggestion, no luck. I've also tried quitting all running applications in case of a conflict, still no go.
It is helpful to know that someone else has had the same problem. Sounds like it's time for me to submit a Support Request to Aspyr.
Not being a "serious gamer" i have the standard video card that came with the Mac (NVIDIA GeForce2 MX, 32MB), do you think that makes a difference?
Thanks for trying.
