- Scan frame: Look of scan frame changed. Instead of cross-hairs for rotating half-arcs can be used now. Also active frame is blinking in order to be noticed easier.
- IMPROVEMENT: iSRD: iSRD now corrects even more image defects.
- BUGFIX: IT8 calibration: Corrected routines in IT8 calibration which formerly lead to trouble if the target had been placed mirrored on or into the scanner. iSRD: Improved prevention of possible artifacts occuring with use of iSRD with too high setting values.
What's new in this version:
- IMPROVEMENT:
- All flatbed scanners that can be IT8-calibrated: It is now possible to activate the new "Printer Profiling Wizard" by an appropriate serial number.
- IMPROVEMENT:
- CMS: Long file names of ICC profiles were listed truncated in the Option dialog's CMS panel. Now the full file name (without path) is used.
- General: Added a Service Button to the Universal Launcher so the User can easily enter the Service Mode that allows to reset the serial number, reset the Preferences or to copy the SilverFast logfile to the desktop for sending it to support.

I feel repelled by the unjustified commentaries of the previous posts. SilverFast is the currently best scanning software in the market. The SilverFast User interface and features are so clear that every idiot can get professional looking images. Those previous commentaries are way outdated also. SilverFast has been available for a long time as a Stand Alone Application which runs very smooth. I can't wait for the next version, because SilverFast is evolving so fast. What a great product. I highly recommend it.

mention - seems to only work with Agfa SCSI scanners... very few USB scanners supported.
