Product Description:

KIU watches certain applications and monitors if they are still running. If an application no longer runs because it "unexpectedly quit" or because the user quit it, KIU will attempt to relaunch this application (and open certain documents) or restart the computer. This will ensure that your application is always running and available. KIU can also restart your Mac at certain scheduled moments in time.

What's new in this version:

Virtual memory statistics help to determine if performance can be improved by adding more RAM to your system
KIU automounter will mount Appleshare volumes at startup and remount these volumes if the connection to the server is interrupted. An e-mail is sent when a volume is remounted or when the mount fails if the Appleshare server is unavailable
improved password security
relaunch options have changed: KIU sets a relaunch limit on each individual application. When exceeded, KIU can be told to either ignore that application or restart the Mac

Sending mail with authentication? - Version: 4.0.1, 10/19/2008 01:38PM PST

I am testing Keep-it-up-X on our mail server so I am using a third-party email account and mail server to send messages from Keep-it-up. All of the third-party mail servers that I have accounts with (gmail, mac.com, etc.) require secure authentication for sending mail. There does not seem to be an option for sending authenticated mail in your software. Suggestions?

This program is perfect for those watching their servers, programs, etc. via the web. You can launch programs, check on computers, quit and restart them, both hard and soft restarts, etc. I cannot say enough about how easy this program is to use and its total usefulness. There is nothing out there that even comes close, even at a much higher price. Thank you Karl for maintaining this program.
