Cypress Storage Driver ReviewBoom! - Version: 1.4.1, 5/16/2004 05:00AM PST

I just upgraded to 10.3.3 and could not mount my external that had previously used a Cypress USB driver so I tried this one. Everytime I turned on the external, I get the black box of death.

Driver support for Panther is a BIG problem so far!

Cypress Storage Driver CommentaryWorks for me - sort of! - Version: 1.4.1, 11/26/2003 04:12PM PST

Version 1.4.1 seems to work OK with Mac OS 10.2.8 and 10.3.1 on my Lombard PowerBook G3. Allows reading from a MSI CD-RW drive in a Sarotech Flex-CD case from the Finder, and writing from Toast Titanium 5.2.1. No noticable differences from 1.4J on my system.

Does not support Disk Burner or iTunes burning (though I have read elsewhere that this drive can be made to work if mounted internally - but that's not much help to me).

Version 1.4.1 is older than VersionTracker reports - the Cypress web site says it was released 2003-09-23.
