iGoom ReviewSorry, I'm grovelling - Version: 2.4.2, 1/4/2009 01:41AM PST

rayjay
Having made disparaging comments about iGoom over three years ago I must apologise profusely that I haven't come back sooner to correct them. The developer listened to the complaints about the logo and removed it, giving us one of the most beautiful and exciting of all visualizers - for free.

The reason I hadn't cottoned on to this sooner is also the reason I've given it only four stars instead of the five it deserves in nearly all respects: shortly after my critical comments I switched to an intel machine, on which iTunes doesn't recognise iGoom. Recently I've started using an old G4 in another room and I'm just bowled over by the iGoom visuals. Any chance we can have a UB version?

iGoom CommentaryGoom - ugly word, ugly feature - Version: 2.4.2, 2/14/2005 09:59AM PST

It's difficult to imagine how someone who produces such great visuals can then ruin them by splattering such a hideously ugly logo over the screen at frequent intervals. I'll be sticking to G-Force, White Cap and ArKaos till that's sorted out - and you can easily adapt all of them if there are elements you don't find attractive.

iGoom ReviewAb-so-lute-ly KILLER ... and FREE!!!!! - Version: 2.4.2, 2/12/2005 04:57PM PST

I've tried and played with any number of iTunes visualizers - some I've even paid for - *groan* - and iGoom is without question the best of the bunch. I watch and watch and watch, and I haven't found iGoom repeating significant elements of its flow - ever.

Yeah, okay, "Goom" pops up on screen a little too often, perhaps, but I'm so bowled over by the quality of the visuals, that it's easy easy to overlook.

(Psssst! Don't anybody tell the author, but I'd pay for this one, no question. Maybe lower or eliminate the number of appearances of "Goom" for paying customers?)
