iKey CommentaryTry the new Keyboard Maestro 3 - Version: 2.2.2, 4/17/2008 01:15PM PST

iKey was my macro program of choice, until the release of KM3 (Keyboard Maestro). There is no comparison to the new version of KM3. KM3 has a built in web server that allows you to perform your macro's from a web browser anywhere in the world. Give Keyboard Maestro a try and see for yourself.

iKey ReviewUsed to be great. Seems to be unsupported. - Version: 2.2.2, 4/5/2008 03:28PM PST

While the primary Leopard incompatibility I've encountered is with typing text, I used that feature so extensively its effectively become useless to me. I've tried some of the posted workarounds for the bug but none really work well.

Given the enormous Leopard lead time the developer had to provide compatibility, and still hasn't to this day, I think you should consider this to be an app no longer supported or in development.

iKey CommentaryUsed to work well, but is largely dysfunctional for me under Leopard - Version: 2.2.2, 1/31/2008 12:00AM PST

I'd been a satisfied iKey registered user for a couple years. Then Leopard was released, whereupon many of my keyboard shortcuts stopped working correctly, usually appending extra apparently random characters at the end of pasted strings and executed commands. Several people have reported this in Script software's support forums. The developer said that this bug would be fixed "soon", but that was about three months ago.
