It's always true that you can't beat users in configuration fantasy... I never thought that a error trap for the 0-color option was useful/needed !!. However, if you REALLY have done a so strange thing, there's no necessity to kill the whole screensaver.app prefs, it is sufficient to delete the rocks prefs !! Search for a file named "rocks.something.plist" in your preferences and delete it. Voilą, reset the rocks prefs (so colors are back to 256).

never would have if you hadn't brought it up... Allow me to elaborate for the others. Really don't set it to 0 colors, because it will crash and quit every time you try to open it until you remove Rocks from the Screensavers folder, and after that you can never use Rocks again unless you throw out the Screensaver.preference file- which Apple in their infinite wisdom has made impossible. So, no more Rocks for me.

Rocks Review[1.0.2] Gah, I… - Version: 1.0.2, 7/27/2001 09:43PM PST

still can't display 400 rocks at a time on my G4...but it isn't sluggish in the least with my previous allocation of 60 (which was not to great on 1.0). Definitely an improvement, and the wireframe mode is funny too. Keep improving this one! I want it to be better than PlasmaTunnel!
