Product Description:

The Keyspan Digital Media Remote is a powerful infrared remote which allows you to control multimedia applications on your computer in the same convenient way that you now control your home TV. Great for PowerPoint, QuickTime, DVD players, CD players, and MP3 Players! How it Works... The Keyspan Digital Media Remote controls your multimedia applications by sending them the same keystrokes that you do when you control the application from the keyboard. For example, if your program uses the "N" key to advance to a new slide, the Keyspan DMR Remote Control can send the same key to your application allowing you to control your application from across the room.

What's new in this version:

  • Changed installer to quit any currently running Mapper, Assistant, Script Daemon, or Map Editor
  • Updated 15 button map file so that the Global Volume Control buttons are the multi-media keys
  • Updated data file rev level from 1 to 2 so that you could install this version on top of 1.7b3 or earlier and it will prompt you for clean install.

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.3
  • Mac OS X 10.2

Keyspan Digital Media Remote ReviewWoowee! - Version: 1.7b4, 6/9/2004 10:58PM PST

FINALLY, after much complaining to Keyspan, they finally fixed the volume controls. Back to 5-stars for fixing the problem. This little device is killer when combined with QuicKeys X. I'm loving it again (all over again). Thanks Keyspan for restoring my faith.

Keyspan Digital Media Remote ReviewThis product is SO bad... - Version: 1.6, 5/23/2004 01:12PM PST

that I deinstalled it, and replaced it with an ATI Remote Wonder. I've never looked back. I contacted the Keyspan folks numerous times via email, and directly at Macworld Expo's to no avail. The product just doesn't work. Well... it works a little... but not enough to keep trying. The ATI product is flawless, and can be had for $30-$45.
